Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP)
The Higher Education Opportunity Program is a partnership between the State of New York and it's independent colleges which provides economically and educationally disadvantaged residents the possibility of a college education. The primary objective of The Arthur O. Eve Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP) is to help provide a broad range of services to the student, who because of academic and economic circumstances, would otherwise be unable to attend College, yet has the potential and desire to obtain a College Degree.
Who is Eligible?
To be eligible for HEOP, you must be a resident of New York State for one year, possess a High School Diploma, be educationally disadvantaged, be economically disadvantaged and have motivation for college completion.
Searching for Education, Elevation and Knowledge (SEEK)
It is a program designed to meet the needs of students who are considered to be economically disadvantaged and academically under-prepared. Prospective students must indicate that they wish to be considered for the SEEK program on their CUNY admission application. In general, only entering Freshmen are considered for this program.
Benefits:

SEEK Students will receive financial aid towards their semesters in college.

SEEK Students may receive a grant to pay their CUNY Fees

SEEK Students may receive a grant to pay for their supplies, transportation and books.

Accelerated Study In Associate Program (ASAP)/ Accelerate, Complet, Engage (ACE)
ASAP supports and collaborates with their college partners to help more students graduate on time by providing overall program administration, evaluation/data management, technical assistance, and external engagement. With well-researched evidence-based results, and a diverse, professional-growth focused culture, ASAP spur higher education reforms to advance more equitable, student-centered practices and policies.

College Discovery (CD)
College Discovery is an enrichment program that provides you with financial assistance, academic support, counseling, and free one-to-one tutoring services. In addition, students receive a stipend/allowance each semester. Through its support services, personalized academic assistance and individual college counseling, the CD program provides you with a clear path to a college Degree and a meaningful higher education experience.
Benefits:

CD provides students with a specific counselor that will support their college experience and ensure they are on the right track to earning a college degree.

For students who are academically eligible, the CD program offers additional funding beyond a student's Financial Aid package – up to $600 per academic year.

The CD program provides tuition, books and supplies for eligible students.

Educational Opportunity Program (EOP)
The State University of New York's Educational Opportunity Program provides access, academic support and Financial Aid to students who show promise for succeeding in college but who may not have otherwise been offered admission. Available primarily to full-time, matriculated students, the program supports students throughout their college careers within the University.
